Guiding Steps is a dance school with a mission to see the arts restored to the wholesome, creative place in society for which they were created.

The school is under the direction of Debra Wood who brings thirty-seven years of experience in professional dance, choreography and instruction and combines it with her vibrant Christian faith.

    There is a double focus:
  • to teach worship through dance to children and adults.
  • to present the life-changing message of Jesus Christ with an emphasis on praise and worship through dance.

Hip-Hop		 Instruction in dance for beginners, intermediate dancers, various workshops, advanced training and private lessons all combine to make Guiding Steps a comprehensive learning experience for dance and even for life itself.

Teams from Guiding Steps and its praise expression "The Praise Dance Co." have appeared in many prominent locations including The Egg - Bleeker Stadium, Tarrytown Music Hall, Westchester, NY, in Time Square/NYC with Project Dance, and The State Capitol Building in Albany. Add this to many local events and the result is a great experience for the dancers and their families.
