Creszenz Bergmeier started dancing when she was in kindergarten, and hasn't stopped since. When she was four, she begged her mother for her first ballet class. Since then, she trained in ballet, jazz, modern, and tap. When she went into ninth grade, she joined guiding steps' praise dance company and started a more rigorous dance training. Since then, she's performed with the praise dance company in New York City, and has choreographed her own pieces for the spring dance show.
In 2014, Creszenz graduated from South Glens Falls High School and went on to study at SUNY Potsdam in northern New York. While there, she trained under Donald Borsh and Dr. Robin Collen. While at SUNY Potsdam, Creszenz also studied different realms of theater including acting and backstage crew work, health and fitness, and Modern dance. In both 2016 and 2017 she studied modern dance at the American Dance Festival, where she took masterclasses from major dance companies such as Paul Taylor and Bill T. Jones.
She recently graduated from college in May 2017, and is excited to start teaching at guiding steps, where she got her start in this wonderful journey of dance. As a teacher, Creszenz encourages her students to find joy in the practice of dance, and to share that joy with everyone they can. Joy opens up opportunity for creativity and personal growth.
