We hope everyone had a great holiday vacation! We would like to welcome all our new students to the Guiding Steps family! All classes will be working on Technique during the months of January and February. We will begin choreography for our recital in March.
Register Now for Winter/Spring Session:
There is still time to enroll in classes as we are still accepting new registration. New Friday Classes added! Formal 1 Ballet/Tap 4:00-5:00, Beginner Jazz/Tap 5:00-6:00 and monthly Ballroom Date Night 6:30-7:30 (last Friday of month).
We would like to extend a warm welcome to Rachel Delsignore – a new teacher to our dance family! Rachel joined our dance school at age 8 taking Miss Nicole’s Hip Hop/Jazz class. As Rachel grew in age, so did her talent and passion for dance for all genres. At age 12, Rachel became a member of Guiding Steps' Company 2. The following year she was moved up to Company 1. With a lot of hard work, practice, and ambition, Rachel led Company 1 as their captain until she reached high school. During her high school years, Rachel turned to school and work, but rekindled her passion for dance soon after, by teaching ballet classes at GFBDC. Miss Rachel is now a proud staff member of Guiding Steps and she couldn’t be more enthused to be back! She will be teaching the Thursday Dance Cheer class along with being our new substitute teacher.
We would also like to extend the warmest of wishes to Miss Keleigh Tyler who has taken a leave of absence to prepare for the birth of her first child. Baby Tyler is set to arrive in April. Good Luck Miss Keleigh!
It is now time to think about costumes for our Spring recital. We will soon begin to measure each student. In order for our studio to order your child’s costume, payment in full will be due January 30th. Praise Dance Company members have the option of splitting the payment, with half due January 30th, and the balance due February 15th. Costume prices will be posted in the office soon.
Praise Dance Company:
Fundraisers As you may have heard, the Praise Dance Companies will be attending Project Dance in NYC the weekend of April 21-23. The costs associated with this trip are very high, between the registration fee for each dancer and transportation, not to mention food and lodging. The Applebees Pancake Breakfast, with the bake sale and 50/50 during the Christmas show are just a few fundraisers we have held so far this year. Please stay tuned for future fundraising events which may include a Spaghetti Dinner and a Calendar Raffle! Any support from our entire dance family will be appreciated!
